About the Photographer
Originally a native of Charlotte, NC, I now make my home in Murrells Inlet, SC. My school days were followed by a 24 year career in the US Air Force. My devotion to photography began during the late 70’s while stationed in England. I am a graduate of the University of Maryland University College, and received a MSt in History of Art and Visual Culture from Pembroke College, Oxford University.
What is ModelWorks?
Model Works arose from my need to keep myself busy once I retired from being a full time wedding and portrait photographer. I knew that I wanted to continue capturing images. I haven't had the time in recent years to work with many models, but I do remember that I enjoy that type of work tremendously. I knew that I had a desire to work with models again through mutual collaborations. My desire to incorporate lighting techniques that I have learned over the years to create some unique imagery is paramount. I have a full compliment of portable small strobist gear and powerful studio strobes that I can easily transport to any location to create images.
